About Me | An Introduction

Full name - Elisa Marjorie Zouza Benaggoune

How old am I? 19

My favourite colour is blue, but I have a thing for black and white together but I also like red as it's comforting but intriguing.

My favourite film? I cannot pick a favourite film, although in the past I used to say Submarine was my favourite and then I went through lists of all my favourites and then I realised I cannot actually choose.

If I could add any song to a movie soundtrack, what would it be?
That would be extremely difficult as I listen constantly to music hahah.
Probably Golden Brown by The Stranglers, or something by Joy Divison. Something punk, and something also mellow like Frank Ocean or King Krule. That sounds like what I would put into my own movies, and not anyone else's oops.

Favourite film at the moment?
Well, I went to America a couple months back and I watched this film that reminded me of my favourite director 'Wes Anderson' called Birthmarked and I cannot stop thinking about it.
I also love Wild which is about a drug addict that goes out her comfort zone on a trail which becomes her trail to recovery and I also love ISLE OF DOGS!

(Isle of Dogs, 2018)

If your life was a TV series what would it be?
Probably a mix of Stranger Things and Atypical and a mix of everything.

Favourite cinematographer and director?
The guy who did the cinematography for Jaden Smith's music videos that I used to follow on Instagram but I dont have any social media anymore so I cannot remember his name but, he's great!
He also did the cinematography for Billie Eilish and Steve Lacy.

and favourite director is of course Wes Anderson and Tarantino!

Favourite photographers?
Nadia Lee Cohen,
my friend Amir Hossain (blackssocks on Instagram),William Eggleston and Sally Mann.

Favourite music video?
These three because they all connect!

They all have tiny references that people don't notice and that's why I pick them all together.

What have you done recently that changed your life?
Did a packing party and became a minimalist in one day before moving into halls, and also deleted social media before university and deleted Instagram a week in, so I'm pretty happy about where I am right now.

What do you wish for the world right now?
If we could all turn off the noise that we didn't choose to have in our lives (meaning technology, social media and basically technology) off and that we weren't so programmed in a technological way currently.
Everything is better without distractions or added background noise that we don't need.

Album or playlist you can't stop listening to?
Antichrist - The 1975
Undo - The 1975
You - The 1975
Fake Plastic Trees - Radiohead
No Surprises which keeps making me very emotional
and lots of Radiohead.

A video that inspires you?

What can't you live without?
Oxygen and music.
