What's Been Inspiring Me: October and Nov.

In this blog, it's a summary of everything that has been inspiring me throughout the month creatively, and in other ways too. This goes into music, art, influencers and general media I've been consuming that has impacted me in some form.

Notes On A Nervous Planet by Matt Haig:

After reading this book, my perspective on technology started changing although I was already questioning the advantages and disadvantages of our noisy planet with what we've destroyed and created within it to make it nosier. As an avid reader of Matt Haig's books, this one is by far my favourite of his by his because of how far he went into detail on the science behind our addiction and attachment in general, and why it's affecting us more than it did in the past because overly hypersensitiveness that we've built into depending on technology and social media.

The book was written so well in a sense that you can learn, whilst relating to the fact about the noisy world we have but, Matt still manages to comfort the reader by explaining that you have control over technology and the noise from it that has damaged our mental health, our routines and the way we connect as humans is very different to how it was in the past in terms of dependance and I found that very interesting how Matt really goes into details and comforts you with reassurance in the book.

I'm now currently reading Brave New World.

Atlantic Drift Skateboarding Series:

This series has been inspiring me a lot in terms of filmmaking, and future projects about skateboarding because of the 16mm footage which I adore and want to do in the future especially mini documentaries about skateboarders whilst filming a part.
Watching this series is completely different to a normal "skate part" and that's why I love it so much.
It also reminded me of another film that has always inspired me because I enjoy documenting other people and capturing their passions through the use of old film mixed with modern media which is probably why I fell in love with that skate film series because of the use of old format's for filmmaking and capturing people.

Peggy Gou X Boiler Room BUD Seoul Lecture

As I absolutely adore music, and live for it basically. Everyone whom I've met has always told me I should dj for this, or start at least djing and my favourite DJ is Peggy Gou, so I thought I would listen to the lecture about djing to get an insight on how to start off well and steadily as a hobby because I've always wanted to do it, I just like listening to other artists talking about their art and how they make it theirs.
If you aren't into djing at all, this is still an interesting lecture to watch and listen to if you generally like music. I want to start as I live for different music genres, and absolutely adore music and I think if I learnt, I would be incredibly happy and content in the zone of music which is me constantly.
