For this idea, I came up with it before going back home for Easter holidays which was about iPhone and social media addiction but as I'm not very skilled compared to other people with Adobe After Effects although I wish I was because I have a big love for animation which I wrote about in my essay. For this project, I wanted to portray that we were tangled, stuck and connecting to technology as a form separately from social networking. I also wanted to be an element of experimental film exploration into this one minute short as I felt digital animation vs traditional animation would create the sense like we are overly connected to technology because it has grown and improved so much over time. I created this by making a simple stop motion animation on my phone which was roughly over 200 pictures as I also wanted to capture how much we use technology even without thinking about it. For our experimental film, we wanted to solely focus on the toxic relationships and how they make you feel whilst being in them which to me and Evie from experiences felt very suffocating and like we were stuck on a long string that we couldn't cut until we broke free. We decided to use the symbolism inspired by Donnie Darko, Rabbits by David Lynch, Red Sparrow, The Neon Demon and Love, Death and Robots which influenced our whole idea as a whole.
